How can I help you?
I've worked in communications in one form or another for over 20 years, helping businesses create real and relevant connections with their clients and customers.
In that time, I’ve seen communications change dramatically and can offer advice about how to cut through the constant noise and navigate the ever-changing trends to reach your most valued market.

My Story
I talk and write for a living, but my story starts with listening.
I first volunteered in community radio because I listened to it as a teenager and wanted a way to be in that world. So, when I had the opportunity to move into commercial radio, I jumped at it!

When my program director told me one morning that I was the new station copywriter, in addition to being the afternoon announcer, my lifelong learner showed up. Who knew being in a studio listening to ads for 30+ hours a week would be an ideal training ground?
Over the next few years, I moved stations and states, then cities, and then states again. From Junior Copywriter to Creative Director, I worked my way through the ranks, and the whole time, I was listening and learning.
I believe my ability to listen helped me move from radio to print, where a recruiter headhunted me about a move into corporate communications in financial services.
Never afraid of a steep learning curve, I spent over a decade in financial services. During that time, I handled everything from editing roles to project communications, public relations, internal communications, thought leadership, and content.
At the end of 2019, I took six months off to do some writing of my own and some travel. But, of course, we all know what happened next! So, my six months away from the corporate world became a bit of me time, setting up to freelance full time and some house renovations. I’d been recording voiceovers at home after work and on weekends for a decade, so adding communications to the offering made sense.
I’ve seen many changes in the last two decades, but the one thing that hasn’t changed is the need to listen. If I don’t listen to what my clients want, it doesn’t matter how I read the script or what words I use to craft the copy; it won’t be right.
Oh, and the other part of my story is I ask a lot of questions!
If you think I can help you, I’m ready to listen and learn. I will also have a few questions.
